For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Still here

Hi everyone, how are you?

It's been a while.

Things have been hectic here since I returned from my trip to Paris.

In addition to tackling  piles of laundry I have a dose of man flu kindly gifted by my

two year old grandson otherwise known as the super spreader.

He is of course forgiven because he is so cute!

Today though, a glimpse for you of some of my Paris haul.

Now to find homes for it all.

Sorry for your terrible flu but delighted in your finds - looks like you found some beautiful things to work with!

My former GP called children a cess pit of infection. Over 4 grandchildren I had horrendous colds but actually bless now having modern antibodies in my system. What he has given you Karen is protection circa 2026. Bless them

I thought you were never going to show the goodies you’d bought. They all look amazing. Hope you feel better soon.

Little ones are definitely germ-mongers and more than happy to share the misery. Hope you feel better soon! (The RC has some sort of plague and I'm hopeful he manages to not share the wealth with me). Fun stash enhancements.
