A new piece of white today. I embroidered heavily on this section with cross stitch and other hand embroidery in order to cover that particular piece of cloth as best I could. I don't really like this cloth. I bought it especially for my January class where I will be making another cloth in the same way as I made Helens white cloth. I am starting now to try and get ahead a little bit and I am spending some time trawling the internet for bits and pieces to use within the new white cloth. This fabric caught my eye, delicate, white and soft yet some kind of ''synthetic'' presence marking out the design is putting me off. I think I should maybe throw it in the washing machine. In fact I think I will definitely put it in the washing machine. As well as this piece I have bought lace hankies, cotton hankies with lace edges, whitework hankies and individual pieces of lace. This white cloth will be for my mum. I asked her for some scraps of fabric that held significance for her and she gave me silk hankies, but not white. That won't be a problem though, a white cloth with a sudden dash of Paisley patterned silk will I think look amazing.
This week is also the Knitting and Stitching show....I hope to buy supplies there too.
Do you remember that Monday was my ''life back to normal day''? Not sure it's working out like that but am also wondering how long I can blame it on jet lag. I don't remember how long it took me to get ''myself '' back after my last long haul flight....answers please.....never mind though, unusual sleeping patterns aren't the worst thing that can happen to me, I am counting my blessings.
