plans.....

I'm preparing for next week, getting work together and making lists of course. With all this forward planning I should be able to get straight into working from Monday morning onwards, stopping for nothing except perhaps to build an Ark!! The rain is torrential and relentless.....you can probably guess that consequently I am leaving the house even less. I never go anywhere really apart from  the occasional foray to my shed and I have no intention of doing that whilst we have these monsoon like conditions.

Sorry, I know, I'm rambling.....back to useful information.....my list of things to do....

Titivate my kitchen

Work in my Ledger for class

Join sections of my white cloth

Embroider newly created section for my white cloth

Order silk

Create a piece of cloth using paper, silk and vintage scraps

Do you think that will keep me busy and out of trouble whilst I am home alone?

plans....

I am not going to say too much about this work...it's all part of the 2012 master plan and in it's infancy. I suppose it could be called sampling.....basically it's buttons and shells placed in cloth in the manner of shisha. I can 't tell you any more or I would have to kill you......so secret and embryonic is my plan.

You do have to be nice to me today though...it's my Wedding Anniversary. He who pays for my holidays bought me flowers and is taking me out for a meal tonight.....at the moment he is at the Football...hence my pc activity.

There is a new page at the top too all about the 'embroider, embellish,create class'. Please have a look just to make my efforts worthwhile. There is no pressure to sign up, you won't be ambushed by someone with a clipboard or anything....

That's all for today I think, more sampling to do along with a little smug grinning as I have ALL my presents wrapped!

back and forth..

I need a little clarity I think, a list perhaps or at least a plan. There are so many things ''in progress'' and although I don't feel pressured, confused, stressed or in any way floundering for some reason I know it can't last. So in order to be prepared I will make a list. Ha, lists. I have lots of them already but I lose them. This one will have to be stuck somewhere prominent. The best place would probably be on the kettle (I constantly make coffee)  but maybe not the safest.. This weekend I have achieved what I think is a lot. I have taken lots of photos, created a lot of embellished cloth, finished the text on my wedding piece, put together two white pieces for my throw and embroidered and damp stretched one of them. I have also done housework, cooked meals and washed dishes....all in all a productive use of my time.

There are big plans for the week ahead too. First thing I need to do is damp stretch the embroidered text. That way it will be ready for tomorrow and I can show you. I now have four pieces that need to be added to my throw and then I can show you that too. I also have an idea in mind for something that excites me but I don't want to say too much yet incase I can't do it, but that is on the agenda for this afternoon. and then....I am wondering...should I put together an FAQ page for here.? Would you like an FAQ page on here? can you tell that I'm excited because I can now create a stand alone page? and....I am getting ideas for other pages....watch this space...

the best laid plans and all that....

Here I am unexpectedly on this day which I believe is thursday! Shouldn't have been here, should have been on the M6 (motorway that is) Ha!! don't bank on it. Due to a sudden and catastrophic failure with my car the disruptive circumstances of this week have themselves been disrupted. There has been no collecting of Swedish nieces and no delivering of said Swedish nieces to Grandmas house. Instead there has been embroidery, good yes but not really ideal when you let your family down and even if it's unavoidable and no ones fault it still leaves a little nagging of the beating yourself up kind. So cushion number three found itself in receipt of unexpected attention and is now finished, only two left to go.

Then number four became the focus and here is progress so far, yes, white again. You sick of it yet??? I'm not, sick of it that is. This house will never tire of white, never...

My posty brought me loveliness this week too, no pictures, just take my word for it. Gorgeous vintage linens from Jane and fabulous silk gauze from Diane. Thankyou so much both of you, they arrived at just the right time and ''proper'' lifted my mood. Next time I may show you some new labels I've had made. I will also try and show you pics from the show, if I get there, but don't hold your breath I remember they are not keen on cameras.
