For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Still growing.

 

It's ongoing.

It will be ongoing for quite some time!

It has grown.

You can compare it to the last time you saw it.

I'm working some single hexagons to fill awkward space alongside the grandmothers flower garden pieces. 

I didn't measure it today.

I will let that surprise me maybe in a couple of weeks.

In other news.

Three grandsons under five years of age means lots of mixed up Lego kits which means Nanna needs to sort it all out. 

Anyone want to give me a hand?

I have generational experience with Lego sorting, first with my son and now my grand-son... enjoy!

ooooh - I'll happily help with the Lego sorting!! After us buying a kit for one of our grandies for his b'day last week, the RC thought we should order one for ourselves. Might happen!
