For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Unfortunately I can't say much else at the moment, infact if I told you any more I would have to kill you so I'd best leave it there. Sorry to keep you hanging but you will be the first to know as soon as I am able.
There have been a couple of other tiny things made for the makey do this week that I will share at the weekend. I had to take a break from the goldwork to give my brain a rest but it's back on that tommorrow with plans to start another doll tonight. Busy is the prevailing word around here at the moment but I hope you have all tidied up because now I'm coming to visit!

I'm more of a gold girl myself, but maybe I should try and do more in silver? The effect of the colours you've used is beautiful and so effective.
