Do you remember this? Remember how I loved the form of this reverse side? Well I am sampling based on that and looking at how I can manipulate the fabric further, perhaps even embellish it before I gather it all up. I pinned this out on my ironing board. Being quite tall it kills my back leaning over the table so this is an excellent substitute.
After hemming with running stitch I pleated/folded, embroidered, (again with running stitch )down both edges of each pleat. It is going to be really interesting to see how this looks when it has all been gathered and tied.

Your ironing board is much prettier than mine. It's covered bright green and yellow flowers, neither of the color being even remotely my favorites. And I can't wait for the new Ikea near Turku to open, I need a new work desk. I've set my eye on one of theirs that has got adjustable height. The one I have now is too tall for working sitting down and too low for standing. Maybe I just should get some pillows to sit on :)
