For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Announcement

Hi everyone, due to the email received below I am returning briefly to comment on what to me is devsatating news.

This means there will no longer be access to any of my past online classes.

I hope you understand this is completely out of my control.

I have managed to transfer thirteen years of content from Typepad to this account. That was a mammoth task.

I was heartbroken to think about all the work I stood to lose, not only on this my public blog but my classes too.

If you decide to follow me going forward on this blog I apologise for any missing images and videos which did not transfer from Typepad.

Any new blog posts created on here will not have that issue. The issue has been caused by the transfer process.

(there is a follow button set up on this site, lower right hand side)

Thankfully I have back up copies of all videos from my online classes.

At some point in the future I will collate those into emails and forward them to anyone who had signed up to that particular class.

Can you please give me time to do that.

It will be a huge, time consuming task and I am still mourning the loss of my dear mum.

Thank you for your understanding.
