lace cloth and happy mail
I grow to love my postman more and more......... he does make me happy. Two wonderful and unexpected parcels this week. One a box crammed with beautiful hankies and fabric, the other a lovely scissor case and Liberty fabric. That was more than enough to temp me from my sewing machine where I have been every day for at least an hour making lace cloth. I'm working on white lace cloth along with subtly coloured lace cloth (top image) and metallic tissue lace cloth. There are a a lot of sewing machine hours being put in here but I don't mind.

pieces of a pocket
An embroidered silk pocket front, an embroidered silk lining and a hand full of patterned puffs...pieces of a pocket. I now need to put all this together starting with stitching the seams of the lining then stitching the lining into the pocket before I add the puffs as final titivations.
This one has been ''in progress'' for quite a while.....for ''in progress'' read lying in a cupboard waiting for attention. It hasn't been deliberately neglected honestly, I just get easily distracted. If this is finished by Monday I will be happy that I have had a productive weekend.

rolls of cloth
Repeated images, folded one way then the other...please indulge me. I am completely in love with this cloth. (I know...I say it all the time....again, indulge me) The top piece in the first, third and fourth imags was created yesterday afternoon. It measures approximately 10 x 8 inches and took around an hour to make.....can someone who is good at Mathematics please tell me how long it would take to make a yard of this? I want a yard of this, just to have, for no reason. I also want a yard of hand crossed stitched fabric but that's another story.
My husband walked in on me drooling over this and asked me if I bought it from the place I get my other silk.....yay!! I told you you couldn't buy it...I made it myself I said to him....such a good feeling. (in case you are wondering, he was underwhelmed and merely asked what there was to eat for lunch....)

bullion knots....
This is the lower edge of this piece. Many more bullion knots have been added around the little circular cut away areas. Those spaces were edged with buttonhole lace first, to define. I will add more blue to this at some point, most likely in the form of buttons or puffs when the surface embroidery is complete. Those additions won't be ''blue'', they will be white with a tiny amount of blue, a fine line here and there perhaps.
An old video...bullion knots....

silk and tissue
I had a feeling that this cloth was appearing on here every day, that you would think I kept it in a cupboard to pull out and show you when I had been lazy, feet up, watching TV, drinking gin, not sewing. I was mistaken...I looked. It's on here a fair bit but not every day, not even every other day...phew. Thing about this is I am working with it a lot at the moment. If I put it on here you can guarantee there will be another line of stitching that wasn't there before or another squiggle of gimp.
This cloth is featuring so much in my tiny front room these days that it's perhaps because I see it every minute of the day which led me to assume you did too. Tomorrow I will be making more of this. I want at least half a dozen pieces before April, just cloth, this cloth, for display, to hang, ''plain''.....just cloth. The key? When you have made it Karen stop stitching on it!!
OOps...it would appear that in my churned stomach induced haze I didn't take my shop off maintenance mode. I thought I had...that is now rectified. I do apologise.

lace...options
I have lace on my mind at the moment, plans for working with lace. This morning I was looking through my images again, these inspire. Well, many of my images inspire, these are the ones I will focus on for now. I bought lace in London, I will show you that soon. I also came home from London with a very unwelcome ''bug''...I'm off to bed for an hour as I never slept at all last night.

lace cloth and buttonhole stitch.
I'm still not here, I am probably here. To keep you entertained in my absence I have edged a tiny section of lace cloth with buttonhole stitch.
I will be back tomorrow...all going well I won't need to leave the house again for weeks.....

layers of white
Last time you saw this it looked like this....since then more layers have been added, more hankies, more lace. There are now bullion knots and a little running stitch. I'm not sure whether we have seen the last of the gimp yet...I'm thinking.
When you read this I will be here, being educated and inspired....

images from play time....
Look at the fun I have when I'm on my own, no domestic chores outstanding, nobody to feed, door locked, telephone switched off. I recommend it, try it. These were taken over the last seven days, it snowed, it was cold, I played. I made lace cloth, embroidered pin pillow cloth, made buttons, embroidered lace......you know all that of course if you have read my ramblings this week. Usually you get to see the polished efforts, the progressed efforts, these are those in progress......
Last picture? an assessment of the pocket situation.....how many, which ones to keep, which ones to take to France....

three buttons
Three newly embroidered buttons and a few not so newly embroidered buttons. it's my aim to embroider approximately forty buttons before April. Can I do it? I think so....if I do them in small batches, every so often, fill a couple of hours.....fingers crossed. Along with buttons I hope to make toggles, puffs, other fastenings, little titivations. They will then be made into little button cloths.....

hankies....and more hankies
Very much in progress, evolving, being developed....hankies on silk with added hexagons. This has the most beautiful lace overlay, vintage lace. The side of this you can't see here, which is also in progress has more of this lace. I will show you that as we progress this work in class.
Once again, this work isn't damp stretched. That's becoming a habit isn't it...showing non damp stretched work on here. It's unavoidable at the moment as I continue to embroider, to manipulate, to add scraps of cloth, to add knots and lace.

buttons and labels...
We made buttons in class and we attached them to a pillow and a pocket.....finishing touches. All my labels will be attached this way for France, each piece will have a button created with stitch and labels. I now have two finished pieces for the show...two down, a zillion to go. Having said that, quietly, in the corner at the back I am making lace cloth and pin pillow cloth so I may well be further ahead than I think.
Yesterday I created more cloth, the first piece of five pieces of pin pillow cloth that will be left without embroidery, not used for pin pillows. If nothing else it will fill a space.

metallic silk cloth....
Metallic silk tissue, silk, cotton, Broderie Anglaise.....pin pillow cloth. Each seam will be embellished with either French knots, bullion knots, chain stitch or gimp. Beads will most likely appear on here too and perhaps a little silver purl.
I haven't ''spoken'' to you in a while. A video of French knots being added to this cloth which I love so much.

with added lace cloth
Lace cloth....I love it. It's so versatile and every piece is unique. It also has a softness that is hard to describe.....because of that it takes stitch beautifully, like embroidering through butter. The blue and white piece from here now has this lace cloth edge. A row of bullion loops and chain stitch sits where the lace meets the silk. I have begun to embellish the open areas but there is more of that to come. (you may be able to spy some tacking stitches, they will stay for now)
On Monday I hope to show you a little progress from class. We have been running for two weeks now and there are ten weeks left before we finish. It's not too late to join us and importantly....you have access forever so there's no need to rush your stitches!! You can read more here.
I'm off to play with a little silk and metallic tissue now....happy days.

indulge me....
Old images....please indulge me. I searched through this blog yesterday, a refresher for some little books I intend to make for France. I found so many old friends.....not forgotten, just not at the front of my brain, they were way back in the archives of my mental storage facility.
I say it on here a lot....I look at my old images for inspiration regularly.....obviously not enough though. In all honesty I could have put hundreds of images in this post but these are just a few of my favourites from yesterday.

blue and white
White silk, blue pen, a doodle, a little applique with a frill and hey presto...another piece in the making. I have plans for the lower edge of this one, plans which involve something like this. The lace overlay still needs to be made, it's on the list of things to do.
Thanks for the feedback on the white piece from class yesterday. It wasn't damp stretched, it needs to be damp stretched. It also needs more embroidery first. I see gimp in my immediate future.....

Layered white from class.
I do apologise......this isn't damp stretched, looks like a dogs dinner.....never mind. This is a piece from class. Vintage hankies, layers, gimp. It is in its very early stages. I have another piece ongoing in class too but that isn't ready for any kind of unveiling yet, public or otherwise.
The hankies used in this piece are ''time worn'', soft...like butter. Although that makes them beautiful and an honour to work with it also makes them unruly, liable to fold of their own volition, liable to crease if you look at them the wrong way, (if you know what I mean) I'm hoping damp stretching will tame them.....

hankies, pin pillows and almost finished work....
It's been a busy week and a mixed week. I've started new pieces and almost finished others. I've pinned a lot and tacked a lot. I have looked at old work hanging next to new work whilst planning new pieces. I have acquired emery sand....the jury is out on whether that's a blessing or a curse. New labels which were ordered have arrived....they excite me a lot!! I commissioned those from the very talented Anna.....they arrived so quickly too all the way from the USA.
Today I have a real feeling of satisfaction with where I am creatively...I mean in terms of preparation for upcoming events. So far so good. So far the plan is working. So far I am making good progress.

gimp
Gimp....love it. The piece here with the bullion knots at the edge is new work, embroidered last night. I have laid it here alongside an older piece.....purely for aesthetics, so it doesn't look paltry and lonely on its own. If you follow this link you will see a lot more gimp, page two has white work with gimp whilst page one is very colourful.
I consider last nights gimp to be a doodle, allowing me some thinking time. I have two pieces of work which are almost finished and two pieces of work in progress with class. In an ideal world I need to begin something else now....hence the thinking time.
I should be able to share a little bit of class work with you later this week too....fingers crossed.

pin pillow cloth part two
Following on from this post.....I made more cloth, pieced strips of silk with cotton and metallic tissue. This one has a ''frothy'' feel, a lightness. That may alter when it's damp stretched....we shall have to wait and see.
So far there is minimal embellishment, I am picking this up in between other things...so many other things...beautiful things which are happening in class and things coming together for my France stash.
The piece from yesterday has been stitched up three sides and later today I will play a little with ideas for the lining. Adornments will be embroidered too....for edges.
This morning I have been creatively starved. I have been ironing. That's a good thing though, it's my nod to the domestic chore department which now gives me a free run for at least five days!! Time well spent then.

joined with patterned cloth
The ironing board piece...front and back now joined with a piece of patterned cloth ready to be stitched up three sides. Next on the list is the lining. The lining will also be embellished...I just haven't decided how yet......I am determined not to use the wrong pink again however....as I did here.
Later today I will be making strides towards finishing this ironing board piece along with the lilac piece from earlier in the week. I will also be playing with emery sand which arrived today....
Yesterday I made cloth, cloth for bling, cloth for pin pillows. Cloth similar to this, similar but different. Last night I managed a small amount of embroidery on the surface. I will show you tomorrow.

pin pillow cloth
This pin pillow, this bling pin pillow, possibly my favourite pin pillow started life as a piece of cloth just like the piece of cloth here. I created the cloth myself. I then ''blinged'' it and hand embroidered it. There is enough cloth here for two pin pillows. Actually, I want to make half a dozen pin pillows so along with embellishing this cloth I will make more, today, this afternoon.....
(thank you for the input re the emery sand...especially Pamela!! I have managed to source a small amount. I stalk my postman with baited breath!)

lilac....front and back
Another embroidered reverse for a silk piece. I am undecided yet as the whether this should be a pocket or a pillow. I am leaning towards pillow and whilst I am on the subject.....does anyone know where I can get my hands on emery sand in the UK? It seems to be impossible to source.
For the reverse of this one I have added a strip of lace taken from the hankie I used on the front and edged it with a row of lilac bullion loops...cohesion....
There is now a link on the right hand side of the page to the new class which started a few days ago for those of you who may have missed it...where have you been? We are only a couple of days in and it's not too late to join us. Alongside pockets we are considering and creating all things ''France''....it's an international class lol...un, deux, trois....bonjour....and all that!

lace...undressed
This piece could have easily been described as naked, (undressed). Basically I mean it has no hand embroidery added. If you look at yesterdays piece and this one you can see the difference hand stitch will make to this lace cloth. I need to create 20 pieces, 25 cm square of this........... no prizes for guessing what I will be doing this afternoon....

lace and mirrors
The surface of this piece has changed since you last saw it. There are mirrors, there is lace and there are bullion knots. This will be the first ''hoop'' piece I have made for France. It still needs a couple more mirrors and a little more lace before it's finished. I really feel like I am making progress for the event in France. I don't have any completely finished pieces yet but I have a few that are almost done, I have been organising labels for my work and I have sourced the materials for my workshop so I feel quite calm and in control. I hope it lasts.
The first day of class was a huge success yesterday too. (that's the feedback I've had so far) ...sigh of relief.....a confirmation that I'm moving in the right direction.
I have been asked a few times about ''London'', about the London gathering I held last year and whether it will be happening again. I'd like to get a sense of the demand for that. Can you let me know if you would be interested in me doing something similar again? Bear in mind I am hoping to hold classes from home later this year too so those of you quite near me may not want to go to London. (bear in mind also that there is NOTHING near me of interest to an embroiderer. We have a KFC and a football club....that's it)
In addition to the classes from home, which would be for a maximum of three people at a time I am hoping to hold one on one tuition/embroidery/cake eating days...again...would you be interested in that? I would be really grateful for any indication of whether or not these are good plans.
This morning I started to put Christmas away. I am half way there. I now need to hoover up a mountain of green needles and glitter......I will see you on the other side.

rectifying my pink mistake
Remember the mistake I told you about here? I'm putting it right, an embroidered reverse for the ironing board pocket using the correct colour. This one is getting more attention than I originally intended, there will be more embellishment than I had planned. I'm considering adding a strip of the patterned cloth at one edge too. What do you think? I'm also thinking of making tiny toggles for the open strips, the unembroidered strips between the bullion knots, again, what do you think?
Tomorrow I take Christmas down, put everything away. I then intend to do some sorting out, some organising, (yes, I know you've heard that before). It will then be all systems go for France. I leave England on April 17. How many days does that give me? Probably not enough but quite a few all the same.
If you are registered for Patched Pockets you should have received sign in information this morning for our private blog. If you haven't received that please let me know.

titivated
I doodled on white silk....then I added applique and hand embroidery, voila, a pocket. The reverse is embroidered, the lining is embroidered. It's finished but it's not finished if that makes sense? It doesn't? Sorry, there's one more thing to add but that's been held up because I need to order a vital component......more of that when it happens.
I love it, I do. It's for France. It's the first finished thing for France and if I get my act together and stop getting my colours mixed up I should have a couple more pieces finished quite soon.
This morning I was surrounded by lace and hankies.....I was drooling......more pockets, online learning......I do believe I am quite organised. The first post is ready for the morning and half of the next post is done too. It's not difficult to motivate yourself when you get to play with lace and hankies all day.

oops....
Last image......do you see it? It's more obvious in that one. Oops, I used the wrong pink. That'll teach me to pay attention. The new piece here was embroidered yesterday, a reverse for the ironing board pocket. When I removed it from the damp stretching board this morning I noticed I had spent all my time using the wrong colour.....oh dear, never mind. I'm not in despair. I can do it again and keep this piece as the starting point for something new.....every cloud and all that.

pinning, measuring, putting together.
In my blog post yesterday I mentioned I had been working on this piece, finishing this piece. These images were taken with my phone as I progressed each stage. I measured, I marked, I pinned, I tacked...I then put it together on the sewing machine. The next stage is hand finishing, hand stitched edges, adorning the surface and edges with Suffolk puffs. This will be my first finished piece for France. One down, two zillion to go.....
If you are registered for ''Patched Pockets'' you should have received an e mail and video from me this morning. If you haven't received that please get in touch. Two and a half days to go...yikes...it's exciting.

lace in a hoop
The fourth image, the last image, the embroidered white lace in an embroidery hoop....that is the image for my workshop at Pour L'amour du Fil in France, in April. That piece is the reason for the embroidery taking shape on the other piece of lace cloth here. I figured I might have a few pieces of this created using different fabrics and displayed in hoops for the show, an illustration of the possibilities.
I have so many ideas for my display area in France. There will be lots of stitching, buttons, lace, pockets, pin pillows, pillows.....the list goes on and on.
The Suffolk Puffs here are final titivations for this. This is so close to being finished, so close......I have been working on it this morning, taking pictures with my phone as I went along. The lining is embroidered and damp stretched, the joining of everything on the sewing machine is done. Tonight I hope to add the final hand embroidered touches....wish me luck.

extending a surface
This piece from the video yesterday is now finished, embroidered, has an added panel. Next this needs a reverse and a lining. I'm currently debating the titivation options for those and will need to leave it for a few days because I am waiting for my silk to arrive.
This piece, another one from yesterday, can be progressed now. The lining needs to be embroidered and I need to make more Suffolk puffs. Then it will be all systems go putting it together.
Other things are happening here too. I am in hankie mode, in private, in secret, for class. Monday, only four days away.....I can't wait.

finishing touches
The alarm went off very early this morning, plans....all these images have been taken today. I've been progressing pieces in order to add more hand embroidery, to extend some surfaces and to embroider linings. Tonight I will stitch hexagons, embroider stems and add applique to an extension piece of the ironing board embroidery.
With some of my Christmas money I ordered this today. I also ordered two meters of this and will order quite a lot of this later today. I'm building up supplies for France......hopefully you will get to see the creations which result from my little shopping expedition.
(pretty please.....don't go and buy all that lace before I get mine!!!)

touching base
Hi everyone.....just touching base with an image from earlier in the year. My visitors have just left after a few wonderful family days now it's time to get back to normal and I have to say I am so excited about the new class and preparing for France in April. Tomorrow this little place of wittering will hopefully be back to normal.
I hope all of you have had a wonderful few days doing whatever it is that makes you happy.
Thanks to those of you who messaged me on Facebook and e mailed me about the floods, concerned about my home and the effect of what has been happening. We are very lucky that we have remained untouched by flooding. Areas VERY close to us have been terribly affected, friends of mine have lost their homes to flood water. I live at the top of a hill which is the first thing in my favour and I am not close to any of the many rivers which we have in this area. We had quite a fraught journey back from the Lake District last night after spending a day with family but made it back safely............
I will see you tomorrow when happily it is not forecast to rain....

my final sheet
In the top left corner of the first image is a double sheet, that is my final sheet from 'Sampling for Stitch', my last online learning programme of 2015. It was twelve weeks of sampling, of doodling, of playing with gingham, lace and Broderie Anglaise. We stitched knots, cross stitch, chain stitch, running stitch, stab stitch. We made buttons and toggles, examined seams and edges, looked at layered cloth, cut away cloth, we wrapped threads...I'm dizzy just thinking about it. It was amazing, wonderful....completely and utterly worth it. We now have libraries of samples, of information, of cloth, stitch, process.....priceless collections of inspiration for the future.
In 2016 I will be building a collection of pockets....pockets which it now appears are destined for a show in France. (in case you are wondering they are providing me with a translator...phew) I will be including all things France in my new pocket class which starts in just under two weeks. You can read more about that here.
I hope you all have a fantastic few days. A very Happy Christmas to those of you who celebrate and to those of you who don't celebrate Christmas I wish you magical days, happy days. x

lace cloth on silk....
Another piece in progress, this one makes three along with the ironing board piece and the one with the Suffolk puffs. Lace cloth has been added to the piece today. There is still a lot of titivation to do, more embellishment including more bumpy bits, a ton of bullion knots and a buttonhole lace edge around the lace cloth. Tacking is visible here. Please don't think the long thin threads are staying....
I made you a video, a chat about this. It's very short...it's also quite badly lit as I am unable to get my photography lights out due to the house being crammed with food, gifts and all things Christmas....I do apologise...a sub standard video....

an embroidered ironing board
No, your eyes do not deceive you, it is an embroidered ironing board. It's this piece, you've seen it before. Today stitch has been added to the actual ironing board. I could say that this is finished now but it isn't. It's too narrow. I am going to extend this width ways, add another panel and yes...there will be ironing boards.
Everything is gearing up for the big day now. Shopping, wrapping, cleaning. I'm keeping on top of everything except the wrapping. I dislike wrapping and I swear it doesn't matter how much wrapping paper you buy....you always have to go out and buy more. I tried to finish it all yesterday, failed. Later today I will have one last push. Tonight I sew.....and soon it will be time for the plump jolly fellow to visit and all the wrapping will have been worth it.

front and back....
The front and back of this silk pocket are embellished, (yes I decided on a pocket)...now I need to think about the lining. The reverse has three stems with a Suffolk puff at the top, a flower, the sense of a flower. More Suffolk puffs will be added to the front before it's all put together. I am tempted to embroider the lining too. Simple embroidery similar to the reverse, perhaps just one stem and one Suffolk puff. What do you think?

all things silk and lace....
Yesterday afternoon and playtime.....silk lace, metallic silk tissue, net...frothy cloth, unique surfaces and the beginning of plans for Patched Pockets and France. Creating this froth and these wonderful surfaces will form part of Patched Pockets. No prizes for guessing what will then happen? Pockets will be created, by hand, embellished, patched (of course) patched with these pieces and other cloth.. We will have pockets coming out of our ears.
As I'm sure you know...it's almost Christmas. The internet is mostly dead, quiet as a mouse, people making plans, stuffing turkeys and other things. Me? I'm organised!! Lol...yes...I know, what happened? There are only three of you reading my ramblings this week...thank you...you know who you are. Point is.....I'm going to keep going until THE day, until my sprouts need to go on. I need this place a lot more than it needs me. This is my record, my diary, my calendar....it keeps me on my toes....keeps me awake...if you're sticking with me...thanks...you're amazing!!
10.30 pm.....thanks for the reassurance that you're here today. I wasn't complaining, or unhappy. I was just pointing out the general quietness of the internet at this time of year which is normal....things to do etc. I was also bigging myself up for a rare appearance of organisation here. There is time for that to go belly up though. You watch...I will get to Christmas eve and will have forgotten a ton of stuff!! Super organisation revealed as terrible memory loss!!

adding texture to a surface
Wrapped threads, curled scrim, bullion loops...I've been adding texture to a piece of embroidered silk. Later today i am going to create more textured surfaces, more pieces of unique cloth using scrim, muslin, lace and metallic silk tissue. It's playtime. My plan is to be re inspired for France, to have embroidered pieces which reflect the samples I hope to create over the next few days.

inspired
If
I've said it on here once I've said it on here a hundred times.....need
inspiration, need a new creative head of steam, need to shake things up
a bit? Look at old work, look at ledgers, revisit what has worked
before and mix it up a bit. With France in mind I was doing just that yesterday and these are the pieces which are inspiring me today.
These pieces...and others.....especially this one....have me more excited than you can imagine.....you will be seeing a lot of things inspired by these on my blog soon and also in the new class. Are you ready?

with added lace....
I made an executive decision yesterday. I decided this piece needed more lace cloth at the lower edge to balance it out. If you compare it now to how it looks here I am sure you will agree. This is another piece where the surface embellishment is almost finished. There will be more indecision soon about titivations, pillow or pocket, just like yesterday.
Work on your own classes now re listed here.

titivations....
Titivations, buttons, Suffolk puffs.....thinking which of those two things would look better on the surface of this embroidered and appliqued silk piece. Maybe they would work together, buttons and puffs? I'm leaning towards puffs though, they're softer, gentler....
There is very little surface embroidery left to do on this. The next decision, for miss indecisive 2015 is whether it should be a pillow or a pocket? I'm thinking pocket.....what about you?

Pour l'amour du fil 2016
I've got a good feeling about 2016. I am honoured to have been asked to exhibit and teach at Pour l'amour Du Fil in Nantes next April. We will be embellishing lace cloth, titivating, in France, in English...with a translator! I will be selling, exhibiting, drinking coffee and most likely spending too much money.
If you can't make it to France you can come to my place instead. Patched Pockets begins in early January. I will be making pockets....no surprise there. I will also be including all things ''France''. I guess I will be selling pockets in Nantes.

auditioning cloth
I'm back. Did you miss me? No? Oh, ok then....I had a fabulous couple of days shopping and eating wonderful food in the company of my daughter. The only thing wrong with the trip was it didn't last long enough. Actually, no...there was something else wrong. My favourite ever, most wonderful, highlight of my trip vintage shop has gone!! Closed down. Not relocated, closed down. I have no idea why but I am very curious as to what happened to her stock. To console myself I accidentally bought some quite expensive silk. Oops.....I really wanted to traipse and wander until I found other vintage places but I had people with me with shopping needs of their own and zero interest in fabric. I think I see a solo trip on the horizon, me and myself and nobody else.....
This morning I was on the sewing machine at 8 am putting together this scrap of lace cloth. You saw the silk piece here last week. The lace cloth has some of my accidental silk in it. What I'm doing is sampling for overlays I can use on the silk piece. The silk in the lace cloth looks darker here than it actually is but in all honesty it's dark as night here too so even in natural light I'm struggling to get a proper sense of whether this will work. I'm not worried, I can wait for the sunshine and if it's not working I will just make some more, different, lighter.

toggles, fastenings, stitching and Christmas....
My house has been prepared for Christmas early this year due to my London trip. I normally wouldn't have done it yet but I'm so glad I have. I won't be saying that when I have to put it all away though! This week has been mixed in terms of creativity, again because of my London trip. I've stitched cloth, I've stitched fastenings and I've made more videos that I thought humanly possible...I really am getting sick of the sound of my own voice so I can't imagine how that must be for you.
By the time you read this I hope to have been here and here....

two hankies.....
A little while ago I was gifted the most beautiful selection of vintage handkerchiefs. The lace piece here was the first thing I was inspired to make from these wonderful pieces. Last night I began the piece with silk and again, more of the vintage hankies. I am using the tiniest of amounts, sampling, sparingly cutting little scraps from close to the edge, saving every little piece I can. I hope my fairy godmother, my gift giver likes what I am doing with these. They may be different hankies but I see a link. Do you? I am so inspired by these pieces.....imagine how many precious pockets I could have in 12 months time.
