For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Working hard, having fun, really surprising myself ... but slow and therefore behind! I haven't looked at the most recent videos yet ... I take it this is what's in store! Yummy!
Must dash - in the middle of damp stretching!!!
scrumptious as usual Karen - always love your stitching on paper.
Yummy! I'm having so much fun in the class - behind, but having fun. Overcoming a lot of mental obstacles too. Have to say that if anyone is contemplating taking one of your classes that they should do so because they're in for a treat!
