Finally, images for you of my finished white cloth. I hope you like it.....I tried and failed to get an image of the whole thing but it really wasn't working so I hope to bring you a video of this piece in the next couple of weeks...
For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Gorgeous stuff Karen.
Glorious - and I love the blue shadows falling across the white cloth!
It's particularly hard to get good photographs of a large textile, I think, and you make it harder for yourself because so much of the effect comes from changing textures. The close-ups look lovely, though1
I love it. What are the dimensions?
sandy
