My brain hurt last night...proper hurt.
hurtpast participle, past tense of hurt
| Verb: |
Cause physical pain or injury to: "Ow! You're hurting me!"
well at times like that what is required is a little ''no brain function necessary'' stitching. So I did some French knots....just a little sample for my sketchbook with a tiny bit of needle weaving thrown in at the top of the page and some running stitch securing a blue edge. Practising just in case I forget how to do them... My brain no longer hurts....let's prescribe French Knots on the NHS.

Thanks for the chuckle Karen. It's early morning here and I really had to look for your tiny bit of needle weaving. I like your little piece and I'm glad your brain doesn't hurt anymore. I switch up my hand work so I don't get bored (cross stitch, knitting, quilting.) I have been known to make mistakes and then I get frustrated. I know it doesn't happen to you.
I'm going to try the french knots now, my brain needs all the help it can get today!
good reason for a beautiful sample. i was french knotting last night on my scrim. it takes a while to fill up the space but love the way it looks.
That's a yummy sample!
Love the sample! I am a huge fan of yellow and blue together and this is beautiful. Hope your brain is all better!
I want to make samples like yours! They are so delicate and lovely:-)
I'm addicted to ''no brain function necessary'' stitching" - so such a sample will never be made by me. It would make MY muddy brain hurt too much.
Luckyly for me I can look and drool instead:-)
oh! how wonderful.
Oh your beautiful stitching in little books! Just perfect. Sorry about the brain ache but at least it proves you have one hey?!
xx
Oh yes lets do that, they're sooo...... therapeutic, lovely little bit of "practice"
Speaking for myself, not necessarily French Knots, but pretty much all stitching helps, anyway!
Here! Here! on the french knots, couldnt live without them.
Such lovely blousy french knots, the sampler is exquisite. Seriously Karen, I have only just started following your blog and your work leaves me gobsmacked. It is soooo beautiful. Thank you for putting such glorious things out into the world.
it is my souls respite, to visit you :)

Seems like a food plan and the sketchbook and stitching are beautiful
There's nothing better than stitching for a hurting brain - that, and a cup of tea.
Your sketchbook is adorable!
Hope your are feeling better!

Tatyana
