It's beginning to look like a sampler factory round here....the pile is growing and there are more that I can't show you yet. (and I apologise for the tacking stitches which I have just seen in here....oops!!) It feels as if it has been ages since I had time to create samples...all these are for the class and I am more happy then I can tell you about my little collection...I am going to put them in a book, a little stitch in each corner to hold them. I may even make a book especially for them. They are so, so precious they deserve a special book....

"Fragile" is the perfect description of these pieces. I think you need to make a special book for them from fabric!

Beautiful! Like an ornate cuff from a long past ladys dress. Wouldnt it look neat with a light shining thru it, like a dressy wedding tea light!
I agree with Doreen, if you hadn't mentioned the tacking stitch I wouldn't have noticed it. We're all guilty of being our worst critics. A beautiful piece nonotheless. A "Fragile" book full of samples....yummy!

Yes, a special book for exquisite work. I am in awe and as Deanna said, what tacking stitches? All we see is these wondrous frothy confections of meticulous stitching. And by the way, I thought your self=portrait was great. Isn't it fascinating how we all worry about how our work will be received because we are so close to it and yet others never see the flaws (not that there are any in your work).
What tacking stitches? I don't see any. These little samplings are exquisite pieces of art in and of themselves.
