Today is a sad day, (half sad anyway) and a happy exciting day!! My white cloth is finished...honest it is...but my girls have to see it first, they are watching a video as we speak. You shall see it too...when the sun shines and I can do it justice. Embroider Embellish Create is finished...in terms of instruction and badgering from me at least. I hate when these things end.....man up Karen.... we shall still mail, advise, ask questions, interact...but technically the teacher bit is over...I will continue to check out their progress over here....have a look it is amazing!! and I will be here for them until they get sick of me...
The excitement......Extending Embellishment....I have been playing...these pictures are my toys, my samples, my tiny creations that will feed my work for that. Our class blog is now live, we start next week, our flickr group will be live next week, you will be able to look...I know, I know...nobody is as excited as me...I am such a loser..need to get out more. I agree but staying in is so much fun when I can play all day....

will have to come back later and look closer. i'm going to be late for lace class. have a great day. and ending and a new beginning.
Oh, I'm excited too. I've been out all day with the boys, but shall look forward to watching the video later. Already had a look at the other pages, can't wait for it to start "proper"!
I've seen the video and think the work is beautiful. good luck for the next class, I may join it at a later date for now I feel I have more to learn from embroider embellish create and haven't yet finished my cloth but I'm buzzing with ideas.
To any of your readers who are wondering about doing one of these courses I say go for it, it is so worth it and I think I will be able to make more cloths with the ideas just from this course
Staying in has much to recommend it, especially seeing what you create when you do!
i am very envious that you can stay in all day and play Karen! beautiful samples - love the messiness of the muslin next to the crisp white stitching.
Luckily just a half bad day!
Lovely laciness.
My comp is working today. yay! Thanks for the nice comments.
First I will congratulate you on your finished cloth. I've been following this beauty for a long time, so I "sort" of understand your blues about the finishing.
I'm another kind of person though.. not one to finish really anything, so I would scream with JOY and skip/hop/jump like a schoolgirl on my way to the 'patisserie' where I would celebrate with an awfull lot of sinfull yummi cakes!!
Please get out a bit. The sun needs to shine on you;-)
Oh Karen, I am stunned by the beauty...Paper, delicate, fragile paper...and do my eyes deceive me or have you made hexagons out of lace?
I so understand the feelings - almost of loss - when you finish a long term project that you have loved. Never mind, you will love the next one too!
