For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

''the use of traditional often time consuming process alludes to the devotion of a mother''. c K. A. Ruane 2007

You are becoming a "Celebrity" and that can make a girl tired! I am so glad I took my two clases with you. Your students are in for a treat!

Just had a wonderful time catching up with all your latest stuff. The latest white on white pieces are just beautiful, as is your pocket.

I don't think artists (and that's what you are) necessarily need to move on - certainly not for the sake of it. Writers don't. They tend to develop the niche where their talents sit the best. And in my opinion that's just fine. :o)

Well now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how I can clone myself so I can take the Stitched workshops AND do your stitching class at the same time. Does anybody know how a person can turn 24 hours into at least 48, without the need for sleep, food, and body cleanliness? If so, please email me!
