Hey!!! I'm back. I survived...not sure about the camera woman but that's another story for further down the page....first things first, another little gift for you. Paperwork, with pink. A small piece for your shopping list or to put under that annoying, leaking plant pot. As usual, nothing innovative or forward thinking going on round here, just leave a comment, say hi, say anything. The winner of my little puffs is Lois...Lois!!! Postal details please..
Not such good pictures today...BOO!! Sorry about that, the weather and everything..I have a lot to get through today so prepare yourselves for a lot of waffling. Sunday. Video. Where to start? Well I started with a full English in the Motorway Cafe....120 miles later I arrived at the NEC. Bonnie was delightful, so friendly and welcoming. I was terrified. My work was laid out and I talked about it piece by piece explaining inspiration, technique, fabric choices. I did a demo on how to attach cloth to paper for 'paperwork'. I did the demo again in close up. Pictures were then taken of all the pieces that had been described earlier. Before we started Bonnie had explained to me how to be aware of where the camera was. Next to the camera was a monitor showing the actual images that were being filmed, as they were being filmed. Apparently if you look at the monitor instead of the camera you look distant, distracted. Well all I can say is prepare yourself because I couldn't take my eyes of the monitor. Mesmerised I was by this weird woman talking about my work who looked exactly like me only 50 years older!! and....it will most likely have subtitles as apparently I have a very strong Northern accent which wasn't easily understood...I was speaking English honest, just in a Northern way, Yikes!! Elocution lessons then. All I can say is that I am reliably informed that it won't be available for MONTHS.(editing, lists etc) Phew, by then you should all have forgotten about it!!!
I have probably left a lot out here, not intentionally but I am still in a bit of a tizz with it all...not easy this film star life you know, especially when you don't have a stylist or a make up person and
bags under your eyes and the dress sense of a Siberian Camel.
In other news.....I have had so many visitors from Pinterest these past few days. So many in fact that I have joined myself and am pinning pictures as if there is no tomorrow. (O.K. only around a dozen but that's a lot for me) anyway, pretty please pop over there and take a look at my efforts, I would really appreciate it.
If you are here from pinterest or from the wonderful link Bonnie has put up for me then first of all thank you...(and I really do mean thank you in a huge way), I would be delighted if you would visit my facebook page and perhaps ''like'' me? and also please stop by my little shop if only for a browse....
I am taking a few days off now to recharge the batteries. It has been hectic here for a couple of weeks and I fear if I don't have a little break my work will suffer......miss you already. x

Wow! Thank you! I am so excited to be the winner of the puffs!!!! :) I've sent you my mailing address.
Your work is wonderful. I so look forward to seeing the interview you did, even if it is a long time from now.
Great big hugs from over here!!!!
Lois
Just take time to rejuvenate, leave all the stress behind and in a few days you will be yourself again.
Enjoy yourself and congratulations Lois.
Apparently recording, even now, emphasises vocal characteristics. So hearing you in real life, your accent may be almost unnoticeable, but in recording it could be very strong. I come out sounding vapid and squeaky, which is why I don't do that sort of thing!
I do like your little pink details!
Can I have your autograph?
Seriously..the most honest (fat) picture of me has appeared on FB so if I can let that go and you can have a look at it I'm sure you will feel an absolute star when you watch your vid. Congratulations. I should vigorously contest the sub titles..big up the Northern accent. Just remind them of Daphne in Frazier.
Congratulations Karen---the dress sense of a Siberian Camel eh-well at least you haven't lost your sense of humour.
I am sure there won't be subtitles....I was joking about that bit but they really didn't understand me...
The pink and white work is very sweet.
Look forward to the video. :)
I joined Pinterest ages ago but have to admit I don't get the point of it. If I like something, I bookmark it or save the photo. I don't need a another website to go to! If you're following trends though, I guess it's nice to know what people are liking. I'm so happy about your interview and taping. What a wonderful thing to have your work and ideas recorded for posterity!
Thanks for the buttons they are so cute. It sure does sound like you need a break, all that rushing around. Take care and get some good rest and see you soon - in cyber space of course, don't worry not popping in any time soon :o)
I love your work - am really enjoying checking your site regularly

Shopping list? Leaking plant pot mat? I think not! Framed it would be. (why am I talking like Yoda?)
Congratulations to you for surviving the filming, and to Lois for winning the puffs.
while pink is not high on my list of preferred colors, "A small piece for your shopping list or to put under that annoying, leaking plant pot" ... I think NOT! It's definitely suitable for framing.
pink and white is my favorite.
and i check Bonnie's vidcast once a month to see what's new so i will know when it's out. i can't wait. i know it will be great.
Sounds like you had a fun day! Can't wait to see the video. The little pink piece is gorgeous. x
I hope that you can provide us with a link dear Karen! I can't wait!!!
It is too pretty to put under a pot, leaking or otherwise. Off to "like" you. I wish there was a "love" option. Refresh, relax, rejuvinate.
Yay!! Can't wait for the vid! I want to see what camels are wearing this year. LOL
Rest, refresh and recharge. Love the pink and white.
congratulations on all your heartfelt effort and work you have done on your varied projects! everything looks wonderful. I would love to hear that accent you mention ;-)
love the light soft pink mixed with whites....
I have been absent and shamefully distracted by the wedding but am now back and hitched and can't believe what fun and games you have been up to! Off to spy on you on Pinterest now- and look forward to viewing your box office hit!
Loving the touch of pink in this one! Adds a lovely freshness. Love following your work :)
If you are going to use phrases like 'dress sense of a Siberian camel' I am going to have to stop reading your blog at work because raucous laughter does not go down well in a library!!!!
no wonder you need abreak - i can't believe how much you have done since I've been on holiday!
Enjoy your break - you definitely deserve it after all that excitement. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the results...Siberian camels and subtitles and all!
Wonderful and exciting!
I'm intrigued by the technique around the pink. Are you going to play with that more?
And yes, I''d love it if that came home to me.
Glad you survived - it's stressful being famous! (I wouldn't know) Love the pink piece! under a flowerpot???!!! OK, I'm going to Pinterest. Love, Linda
This is absolutely beautiful, fantastic stuff!! Wow!
I've just got home and so pleased you've managed to survive the filming. I shall look forward to seeing the edited version in due course, and I am sure you will be understood
