For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

So very pretty!
You've given a whole new meaning to the dreaded 'paperwork'! I certainly prefer your pretty, lacy, dreamy, corset-stitched paperwork anyday!
Karen.... This is extraordinary! Well done!
I'm going to have to be nice! It's all looking very beautiful. I hope Robbie wasn't sick for your concert!

Paperwork never looked so good Karen.
This collection of paperwork is my favourite of your work. This work gives a modern approach to a traditional form of handwork. Refreshing and appealing!
lovely!
Delightful, Karen - well done!
If you didn't tell us this was paper, no-one would know. You have a knack of being able to make something as stiff and unyielding as watercolour paper into something that looks so soft and flowing. Amazing work!!
