Told you I would be getting rid if some more of my old tat today!! I am giving these away...you may have seen them before. Two samples from way back when that were languishing in a drawer miraculously transformed into pin pillows....The reason for my unknown and uncharacteristic generosity? A complete lack of anything else to put on here. Have a day off I hear you cry!! Sorry, no can do, I need you more than you need me..
I am still wading my way through dirty washing from the weekend, re stocking cupboards, cutting pages for books, wrapping books, wending my way to the post office. This morning I went out to buy silk and discovered that my favourite fabric shop in the whole of Lancashire is shutting down.....nooooooooo!! devastated. I loved them, they kept things for me, I had my own little corner of their store room, threads, silk, gingham.....totally abandoned is what I will be....
Now for these give aways, just a comment again. Being involved in yesterdays doesn't bar you from this one. I will be drawing them on saturday by which time I should have some embroidery to show you, in fact I should have some by tomorrrow....fingers crossed!

Hello Karen,
Well you know I love your pincushions-
The two I bought have a special place here in my house in Spain. Of course I like to join the give away...so I will keep my fingers crossed (for me LOL)
Love Erica

These are two pretty for words! Just tucked away in a drawer...lucky drawer.
I am going to be a glutton and comment on this post as well! These are exquisite, and I just received some beautiful, iridescent pearl-headed pins for my birthday (long story...) from my friend Dawn, and they need a pretty home!! :) XXO-
Oh those are so beautiful!!! and new pin cushions is exactly what I need now, I keep my fingers crossed.
who wouldnt want to win these!they are painfully beautiful!
Your work is always so very pretty. How on earth did these beauties end up in a drawer? :)
They are beautiful, I'd love to be entered. I'm sorry your fabric shop is closing on-line is not the same as seeing and feeling in real life.

You are right. I am spoiled. But I am grateful every day, and never take it for granted.
I feel your pain about your local shop closing...
Sharyn
the pins that get to live in these pincushions will be the luckiest pins in the world.
You seem to have cornered the market in exquisite embroidery - these are both an absolute delight and I love the red/pink and white one - a combination that works so well.
So sorry for your loss re: the fabric shop. We heard our lovely dentist is moving yesterday and I feel similarly bereft...
xxx
I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I CROSS MY FINGERS!!!
Don't be sad, you'll find another store. I know it's sad.
Kisses.
I too love the vibrancy of the red/pink one, it is gorgeous.
There aren't that many fabric shops around these days in the UK, it was bad enough when we left. Here in Latvia you can get interesting fabrics easily as they make outfits to go out in, but there is not as much of the ordinary fabrics. I can get linen easily though which is nice. Do you ever go up to Colne? http://www.croftmill.co.uk/
I Love these pincushions! :)))) I still use the one my Grandmother made for me when I was 10yrs old (a long time ago). A sad day when your favorite fabric store closes... you feel like you have lost a good friend.
Oh, disaster! Fabric shop closing. It's not even as though there were all that many of them left. Out of interest, where is it?
Don’t know why in the world I can’t get in touch with you on the comment section but I really would like to be included in the drawing for one of the pin pillows. They are exquisite!
leilani

Your Lidia is a beauty!!!!
I've been rather lax in leaving comments of late but you know how much I love your work and I have rather fallen in love with the white and red pin cushion... not that I would refuse a home to either of them!
Those pin pillows are gorgeous! I really love the red and white one!
Jane
Your pincushions are beautiful and I love them.
But that your favorite shop is closing is NOT good. Are you now buying all the remaining stock? Do you have the addresses from their suppliers or do you know another shop to get what you need?
Please find a good solution because I still want to see a lot more made by your skillful hands.
They are beautiful Karen, and I would love to be included in your little prize draw. Sorry about your shop....
Janice. x

I feel for you that you are loosing your favorite fabric shop. Mine closed several years ago and I haven't found another to take its place.
Gita/Bubbygigi

Oh my goodness, I definitely want to be spoiled with these! Such beauty is simply amazing. :) blessings, marlene
It really is sad when a favorite store closes, isn't it? I fear, the current state of the economy here in States being what it is, many quilters are going to find out what that pain feels like. (sigh)
Lovely pinnies!
:) Linda
PS Loved your little book I bought, too!
Oh my, so beautiful!
Even more beautiful work, can't believe you had these in a drawer.x
Yes please! :-)
How can you call those gorgeous fripperies 'old tat'?!?!?
And, there's a project for you - why don't you take over the fabulous fabric shop. You could always get on with writing a book when you had no customers x
I'm already the lucky owner of one of your pincushions but that's definitely not to say that I wouldn't be pretty happy to own another one!
Those are beautiful.
Oh my, just look at us all crowd in!
I absolutely hate it when I store I love goes away. Hopefully something just as good or even better will take its place.
Those are so lovely - how can you call them "old"?! LOL I just love looking at all the stitches and embellishments...just beautiful. Such dear little pin pillows - I would treasure one if I won it!

This is so beautiful. :)
Yeah, tat... HOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!
I'd love to be in with a chance of winning some of your beautiful work
How can you put something so beautiful in drawer! It make s me think of Dirty Dancing...nobody puts baby in a corner.
Shame about the shop, it's getting more and more difficult to find real haberdashery shops. It's not the same buying online.
x
oooooooooooh! What a gorgeous, wonderful, beautiful prize! Yes please, I'm in! Sorry to hear about the local shop, it's like your lifeblood is being taken away. Is there another fabric shop nearby which could become your new favourite and which could be persuaded to stock what you need?
I know how you feel about your favourite shop closing. It feels like a huge loss and it takes a while to find somewhere else to shop. Then the new place is never like the old one was.
I would love to be in the draw for your wonderful giveaway.
Such a generous offer ... How exciting it would be to actually hold one of your exquisite confections in my hands !!!
Oh, pick me, pick me! Beautiful work!
GG

Oh these are sooo beautiful! Hope I'm not too late to be included.
Hmmm. It's still Friday here... Wonder if I'm too late to throw my hat into the ring for one of your lovelies =)
I have a whole art closet I should crack open and do a giveaway sometime. You've inspired me.
