For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

''the use of traditional often time consuming process alludes to the devotion of a mother''. c K. A. Ruane 2007

It's beautiful! And you have your very own sampler toe wrap! You have so much variety here and that is how I see it - as a sample of all your beautiful work!

I'm beginning to feel like my sister. Every time I tat something new, she says, "I want that" with a meaningful glance that indicates I should just hand it over in the moment. If you could see me, you would see the exact same expression. I want that. Can I have it?
(very big grin!)

Now I am absolutely sure. I am in need of a toe-wrap. This is so beautiful and my feet are always cold.
For my birthday I ask days with the length of 36 hours. Than I have 12 hours extra til at work. If you know where I can get such a day, please let me know.

I envy your feet but I am also very, VERY happy for them.
