You will be pleased to know that I'm in a better mood today, (or maybe you couldn't care less which is fine too). I finished a third section of the white that I'm working on and damp stretched it overnight. Whilst that was happening and in the absence of anything alse to clean I decided to add the latest two pieces to my throw. Just pinned for now, a little distraction from the angst of the white. This caused a kind of psychological drum roll.....these two pieces changed completely once they had been added to the larger section and I thought....the white will do that, join what you have so far, step back and look again. So it's done, three sections are joined, (of the white...keep up!!) and I will show you them next time. They do look different, to me they look better. The rest of the pieces are measured and await embellishment. Phew!!
Back to my throw, the top picture, look up. Doesn't it look like a proper blanket now? Not ready to use, well not if you don't want to wake up with pins sticking in your unmentionables, but definitely taking shape. see, happy, happy.
Now for a proper drum roll please....my little girl won a massive award at work yesterday, nay not massive, humungous, huge, gargantuan. Think of the biggest thing you can and double it. So well done Helen, we are so proud and love you to the moon and back xxx

the throw is looking magnificent. loved seeing it as a whole. and congrats to your daughter. i can imagine how proud you are.
Your never fading enthousiasm for your throw makes me think about making one for myself. (If I can find the time!!!!)
Congratulations on the massive award for your daughter. You know I'm can be a nosey person. So would mind sharing why she got this award, did she make something or do something special besides being your special little girl.
Anyway I'm glad you enjoying your clean house and have a great time again.

:-) I am sooo happy to see your throw in it's entirety. It is beautiful, however I knew it would be. I am glad you are feeling better. I have been a bad blog stalker, Christmas and work are getting in the way. :-(
Congratulations to your daughter. Isn't it just the best when your kids are acknowledged for their accomplishments!!!
Karen, thank you for answering my question about etsy vs big cartel..I didn't know.
Sometimes when I see all your embroideries I think "where do you get the time..you have to eat also" ;)
But i like very much the white embroidery you made(again)with not such a good mood :)
Congratulations to Helen!
It's worth remembering that elements assembled look completely different to when they are separate. Never panic until you've tested them side-by-side!
Your work on the quilt is priceless so far. I like the visual from farther away. It gives it another perspective from the up close and marvelous of the smaller parts of the whole. I can't wait to see it done... but patience IS a virtue they say. I'm still learning that one.

So glad you are on the up Helen, hang on to that positive feeling!
Yay Helen!
Your throw is looking wonderful!
Thank you for showing the entire throw because I've been dying to see the whole. I would feel like a princess if I had such a beautiful thing to use! It's so nice when one of our children excels at something - be proud Mom!!!
So glad the happy feeling is back, and congratulations to your daughter
