For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

well did you? Miss me I mean. I certainly missed you and all that thinking hasn't helped, I'm more confused than ever now. Sensory overload perhaps. You know when your brain doesn't work, you can't ''order'' stuff, make decisions, expand thought, make thought process work at all actually. Well that's me, back from a great trip but no wiser. New ideas but no idea how to put them into practice, afraid to start, afraid to make the leap, mourning the loss of my little shop even though I killed it myself. So hey ho! time passes and I just sit and stitch, mind blank, almost comatose in the brain department. Still, at least it's productive and here is the next installment, in its infancy of my throw. 
As for my trip......well in between doing piles and piles of washing I have managed to put it all together for you here. I have even put a little link at the top of my left sidebar too. It's good to be home, no matter how beautiful your holiday location, how wonderful the company, there's no place like home. Back soon.....

i did miss you and glad you're back. getting back to work after a vacation is hard, but it will come. your cloth is looking beautiful and i so enjoyed your trip photos.
