For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

I'm digging the one with the yellow loops! Very nice.
these little pouches would brighten up anyones day. i especially like the one with the prairie points.
Beautiful pouchies....always your special contemporary/traditional touches...how do you do it?
I know what you mean about your love of *white*....there are some things you just keep going back to and you feel so comfortable, so at home, working with them.

They are gorgeous, Karen. Think I'm going with the prairie points too.
I'm so glad to hear that you are moving on. I was worried that you might have given up and that would have been terrible.
Again, you have taken my breath away! I love the colours, really bright and cheerful.
Take care x
They are all so very pretty. It would be so hard to make a choice. :)
Yes, the summer does continue over at your place and that is a good feeling especially since the symbols are so gorgeous.
So hard to choose...Karen!
I think now everything is done - if anything is well please let me know.
About your question:
perhaps I still have people on flickr who add me as contact and have no images to share but since long time I block them. People who add my photos as favourites and have no photos to share and say nothing about them are blocked by me as well.
On my profile I publicize for that matter
So summery and light. Cheery, too. A good way to start the rest of your life =-)
They are really delightful, Karen - well done.
I was wondering when you would be going back to white!
Hi Karen,
I too block those on flickr who don't share images.
I always wonder who looks at your photo's when it says from unknown.
lovely work.xx
I'm no help as far as the flickr question because I've stayed far away from it. Facebook and twitter are not in my vocabulary either. I was on facebook for all of a few days and it was too much for me - never again!
Your wee pouches are adorable!
So now we get to see the finished product of all those lovely sneak peeks.
Fresh. I like that. A very good frame of mind. White is your comfort zone, non?
I love to see your work and I am sorry for what has happened to you. I am glad that you have overcome the feeling of frustration and that you are back to your usual self.
These pouches are gorgeous, you are such an artist!
