For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

It seems I am addicted.....

Well hopefully you won't be bored to distraction by crazy patchwork today because I now have three columns to amuse you! I did it all on my own, no help needed, I am very proud. What do you think? I have deleted some clutter and made a new list. Only one list so far but there are more to come. The new list is comprised of my favourite online ''drooling'' places and there aren't as many as I thought so I must have missed some out so you can be sure it will grow and grow.
Now for the constant presence here that is crazy patchwork. I finished subtle and subdued and she is now in the shop with crazy and colourful. I hate to dissapoint you all and can't imagine ever not posting about crazy patchwork again so I have another one tacked together as we speak and I also have comission for another crazy purse so there will be more of this. Hope that doesn't put you off coming round to visit! I made some tiny prairie points out of lace for this one, have a close look, they are very dainty and quite precious.

However.....just to prove I am not a ''one trick crazy patchwork pony''' I am also working on this, a specific request from someone for an embroidered piece in a specific colour. Or does that make me a jack of all trades and master of none?? The jury are out on that one.

I have to say that I am traumatised in advance for the ''f'' word tomorrow, nails bitten to the quick, medication ordered, darkened room to lie down in prepared. Why do we do this to ourselves? Why? Must be another addiction, I seem to have a lot of those. Any therapists out there?

Well done you, never doubted you could do it for a minute! Where did you embroider the whitework flowers onto the piece with the prairie points?

I LOVE the work you've been doing! We had company from out of town this past weekend. They just flew out today and LOOK AT YOU! No rest for the weary... you are just like the energizer bunny. I ADORE the blue and white piece! Oooo, and the new piece you're working on has some very luscious color combo's going! I can't wait to see it develop as well! Thinking about you. XO
