For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

I very much agree... you are a stitching goddess, and this new piece is just further proof of your amazing talent. Beautiful. xo
I do think that if you put the piece away for awhile, you may find you love it and will complete it to your satisfaction. I did see the post about you - I guess I should have emailed you about it. Anyway, have fun on the vacation.
You deserve the praise. I read every post you write.

I don't think I could disagree either. I like this piece, I am sure inspiration will strike when you least expect it.
yes you are a stitching goddess.
Any woman who irons well IS a goddess.
Your work show that you iron beyond well, so don't be trying to skip out on the goddess title too soon. Some were just born to it.
Have a wonderful vacation.
