Anyway, my latest doll. Her dress is embroidered and damp stretched and hey voila! Another downside to all this computer mayhem though, there hasn't been any embroidery here for two days!!! You wouldn't think I had a fair to go to next week, panic has well and truly set in now.
Now I want your advice, opinion, whatever. I have a lot of offcuts from making my wrapping cloths, some of which you can see below. I wondered if it would be a good idea to maybe cut these up and sell them in little bags as patchwork/applique scraps. What do you think?
Because of all the c..p that's been going on here I have also not been able to visit any of you for ages, or reply to comments. I am really sorry and will definitely be popping round over the next day or so. First things first though, I MUST CLEAN MY HOUSE!!! If all goes to plan, with fingers, toes and everything else crossed this little lady should be finished by the time the weekend is over and you will be the first to meet her. See you soon x

Oh, my. I understand your pain. My computer just died also. I spent time today researching new ones. I am not sure which to get but I want a cheap one. We will see.
what is it with this computer stuff? you probably missed my disaster about a month ago. same thin.g oh well...life goes on.
Computers can be such assets and pains in the a***s...don't you think?
Yummy Yummy scraps....precious bits of loveliness
......as for cleaning the house...it's never done....and we are eventually returned to dust and dirt.... =-) just do the necessary bits
Sons can have their advantages. I'm so pleased you were able to retrieve at least some of your work. Yes to the applique/patchwork blocks.
RIP to the old computer and blessings to the new one and to the techy son. As for scrap bags-brilliant!!!! Put me down for one when you decide how you will sell them. Looking forward to seeing the doll.
Ooooooh scrap packs are the way forward :)
What a nightmmare... which reminds me I should back up files! I think bags of scraps sound like a lovely idea.
Hi Karen, Puett is an amazing women almost a way of life I'm glad I have managed to inspire you xxx
Your work is looking beautiful, and I am pleased you have an Etsy.
Off to New Designers this week, are you going?
I'm there Friday/weekend if you are ...we could have tea and cakes...
Love Lynn xxx
Sorry to hear about your computer trouble! It just reminded me I ought to ask someone again how I make the backup copies. I keep forgetting...
Alas, poor p.c! Scrap bags? Yeah! Great plan, if you saw the state of my place with one week to go I'm sure you'd feel a lot better!! xx
So sorry about the death of your PC. Thank heaven for techno savvy offspring. My eldest is going to help me with some contraption that I can plug into my Mac which is suppose to back up all of my files... way over my head.
And I think the scrap bags are a great idea!
Sorry to hear about your computer, and so pleased that your son managed to retrieve all your old files. We have external drives on out PCs so we can back up separate from the computer, and although I don't do it perhaps as often as I should, it does mean most of the stuff is safe, and I'd recommend it. Bags of scraps sounds like a good idea to me, and worth a try. Thanks for your lovely comments on my Skywatch Post last night, but I happen to think you photograph your own portfolio beautifully. When you are less frantic - after the makey do and during your summer hols - I would so appreciate a couple of pics of your damp framing in progress. Some people admire your French knots. For me, amongst other things it's how your work always looks so crisp and clean even while it's in progress!
Janice.
Hallo you!
Ooooo boo to the PC probs, always v frustrating and time consuming.
Don't worry about the 'minimalist' stall, I'm sure it won't be and will be full of your wonderful work!
yes to the 'scrap bags' always a v good idea.
I've still piles of things to finish for the 'do' ah well back to the grindstone!!!
Don't tear your hair out!!! ;0 X
You could also leave the embroidered pieces whatever size they are and then add some quilting fabric to make up scrap bags... that way you avoid cutting up all that work. Just a thought. Good luck for the fair, sure it'll go brilliantly.
My pc malfunctioned too last month, so you have my complete sympathy. It does get better, is all I can say and keep doing what you do as its great. Sell the offcuts because they are superb in their own right. Good luck. Lyn
I think its a brilliant idea to sell off as applique pieces...I'll have to keep my eyes peeled as your work is gorgeous
