For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Congratulations! I love the stitching you have done here.
I'm captured by the tiny flower behind the tiny window in the bottom picture. All sorts of possibilities can be imagined.
congratulations! I like all you experiments here
Lovely - and how nice to be accepted
Congratulations Karen! What a thrill!
The experimentation and stitching on the new pieces is as captivating to me as everything else you do!
This was such a fun post...love the layering of fabrics. I also loved what you did with the cotton tape...absolutely love it!
What great news!!! Congratulations!! Great stitches as usual!
Congratulations! I wish I could get to see your work in person as I'm very intrigued by it but find it hard to visualise the whole piece. Not your fault of course but photos of the whole work can't show the detail and it's hard to relate the detail to the whole piece. However, I find what you are doing very original and beautiful!
