For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

I agree, this should most definitely be entered in a competition!
Your work is nothing short of inspirational!
I am, as always, completely enthralled!
I knew it would look stunning with the hooks and eyes in complete rows! Competition is a really good idea, and you can put this cloth in the shop afterwards.
I would have never thought that the humble hook and eye could be art work, and yet it is. Oh I like this entire piece.
Yes I think it si so good for a competion! Good luck! Your work is always so beautiful!
