I have had a very stressful few days. I don't hold grudges, lucky for the lorry driver who crashed into me whilst I was stationary at a red light last friday! I am not physically hurt but you wouldn't believe the hassle of getting the car to the garage, getting a courtesy car, filling in insurance forms, ringing insurance companies, and all because I had a little trip to the supermarket. That will teach me won't it. My brothers advice on the next time I encounter a red light....just go through it!! Maybe not, perhaps I will try and walk more.
Anyway, I was hoping to get these in the shop yesterday, never mind, I have done it this morning. There are three 'jar pincushions' filled with embroidered 'funky puffs' that match the lids.
and two embroidered purses.
The jar pincushions have a higher postage cost. That's because of their weight and the extra padding they will need so they don't arrive as jigsaw puzzles!
My latest 'wrapping cloth', well it seems the thread I ordered has gone walkabout. I am going to have to drive (oh no..drive!!) around locally and see if I can find some. Wish me luck!
For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Karen I'm so glad to hear you weren't hurt. Funny thing about red lights. they don't work so well when others ignore them.
I've been stunned when I've looked at your stuff before, but now I'm counting my pennies, shipping be darned.
Good luck with the thread hunt! The brown and green embroidered purse is my favourite. Too bad I never need such beauties.
Like my mother, I too like the purse with pinwheels the most. And even your pins are prettier than mine! I think I have a thing for pinwheels as the bottom jar pincushion is my favorite too :)
I think I need to go paper-hunting. I'm running out of page papers slow and sure. That's about the only material I'm running out of, I never seem to have enough space for my materials.
(why do they make these word verifications so difficult, I never seem to get them right at once?)
What a relief you did not get hurt! I hate cars and wish we could live without one.
The second purse is my favourite! So cute with the pink flowers peeking out!
