For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

I am still waiting for the thread to arrive so I can finish the latest cloth. I have so many ideas for my next one that I am desperate to get this one finished and delivered to the gallery. I am thinking that I may try my next one on etsy and would appreciate any thoughts you may have on that.
In the meantime, don't think I am sitting here twiddling my thumbs. I am working on some more smaller pieces that I hope to have here by the end of this weekend. Here are a few close ups that I hope don't give too much away.
