I have finally finished my latest cloth, just in time to be taken to the exhibition on monday.....cutting it fine or what!!?? Instead of decreasing however, my stress levels are going through the roof. It is a condition of this exhibition that work must be mounted in such a way that the mount can be screwed to the wall, with the work securely fastened then it cannot be stolen. Well, I really do not like my cloths to be hung flat against a wall, that detracts from their meaning. (I don't want it to be stolen either) My usual method of hanging is from the corner, on a hook, to reference the domestic and also to enable them to fall as if they are wrapped around something. My brain hurts trying to figure this out, but I am determined.........will get back to you on that. As you can see I decided to finish the edge simply with running stitch. The funky puffs I made are now visible inside the partly open pocket, as is the text. The pocket does not open fully so the words are partially concealed to fulfill the need for privacy.

I have also added covered silk buttons so that the pocket can be completely fastened depending on how you prefer it.

well done, it looks beautiful. Perhaps the curators of the museum will be able to give some advice on making the item secure but still hanging as it should. Perhaps they have some glass cases for this event. Stick to your guns anyway which I know you will.
Very well done mum! Looks very nice :) xx
