For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Check This Out

I did this interview with Kaija and here it is on her blog! It looks amazing and I can't thank her enough. To think that she admires my work when her work is so amazing. You must check out her blog, not just to read this but to see how talented she is.
The shop update is coming along and I hope to have it back online sometime today, please come back and have a look. xx

I enjoyed reading the interview very much and can really relate to the not knowing how to paint part, although I draw the templates for my own naive appliqués these days. But they are not much to see until translated into fabric. Love the smock in the picture!
