For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

A plea for help!

Hi! Does anyone out there know where I can get some quality labels made? I would ideally like embroidered linen ones that won't require a remortgage or the sale of a vital organ. I have some at the moment but they are very synthetic and not at all what I really want, I have trawled the internet but it's hard to tell from 72dpi images exactly what they are like. I am after 'REAL' fabric, heavy in the hand fabric, oozing quality, (don't want much do I?) Any info extremely gratefuly received.
I know today is new years eve and everyone is probably excited and full of anticipation for what is to come, I however don't feel that way!!
IT'S ONLY GOING TO BE TUESDAY!!!!
I am not trying to bring you down and sincerely wish you everything you wish for yourself, personally though, every new day whatever the month or year is exciting for me, bringing endless possibilities and new challenges to be enjoyed and anticipated.
