For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

What a hectic couple of days I have had! I feel like I've not had a minute and yet don't seem to have achieved much at all. I did manage to send these parcels yesterday though. One is my first PIF going here, and the other is for my holiday swap going here. Don't worry Jill and Camilla, I have not forgotten you, I am working on it as we speak!

Now a very special thanks to Gunnel. Because of her help I have been able to add all these amazing links!!! I am so happy that I can do this now, thankyou, thankyou ,thankyou!
