For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Today I am going to ask you all to hang in there with me! Yes, more sampling. I truly don't want to bore you and when I look at some of the other blogs out there they are so fantastic, informative and exciting. I think though that all the blogs I admire must have also gone through this early stage, feeling their feet and finding their way because essentially that's what I'm doing, trying to find my niche. I am not a quitter and I know I will get there eventually, I just hope you all keep reading, returning and having positive thoughts for me.

My new business cards were supposed to arrive today and haven't surfaced so I am keeping everything crossed that they come tommorrow because they are essential to my plans for promoting my work and you will be the first to see them when they come. See you soon xxx

p.s. I really appreciate the visits I am getting, thanks.

HI Karen, thanks for popping over to my blog and commenting- really nice to see your blog! I'm going to take a few photos from the book and post them up soon- keep your eyes peeled. As for following the patterns, I really don't know how good i'd be at that, but the illustrations are just too cute for words.

Ok- it seems like I can't count! two of the comments were from me I think, but I do have three people signed up- I would however love to sign up for your PIF, and perhaps send you something in return anyway- pif or no pif, let's live life on the edge!
