For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Hi! I am really sorry that I havn't posted for a couple of days, stuff going on around me that needs to be done. This weekend I am going to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate. For those of you that have never been it's an amazing show with exhibitors of finished works, demonstrations and more suppliers than I will probably be able to afford! (not that I am going to let that stop me) I am taking my camera so hopefully will have lots of exciting things to post here when I get back. xx
