For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

so you like paper flowers?

There's lots of paper flowers in this house...created an Eon ago for sketchbook exercises....who needs a garden?
Anyway, I'm not staying long today...my ''to do'' list has its own ''to do'' list, you get the picture. The main reason I am here is to apologise for not answering my mail for so long...I had to go away for two days...now I have beautiful things to stitch...things that I am dying to show you but I have to save them for the girls first. You will hear from me soon I promise, cross my heart and hope to die....
and don't forget, I am taking registration now for the next embroider, embellish, create class. We start May 1st but you don't have to wait until then before you hear my voice, get your orders, have me boss you about...oh no...once you have registered you get a video...yes a video. You can see all about that here
Finally....to my extending embellishment girls....get the needle and thread ready... Tuesday is homework day....there is stitching to be done!!
