For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

miss you already.....

I have a mountain of ironing to do the size of which you wouldn't believe. I am calmer....much calmer. My security information is all listed in the right US Government departments so they know I'm coming, wonder if they'll have the kettle on? I have dollars, I have charged up camera batteries, I have a shopping list......hang on to your linens North America!! All good to go then? Well not quite, have to sort out my give away. The winner is....drum roll, Monika...postal stuff please. Shame you're in the wrong country I could have delivered it by hand.
The pictures today? A new play around with paperwork and some lovely things I have been making with my girls. You can see theirs here.
Back in two weeks!! Behave yourself when I'm gone.....

The immigration services already are already very busy to find and lay their red carpet, a cup of coffee will be served at the end of it, LOL. I hope you will have a fabulous holiday, don't forget take an empty suitcase with you, and recharge your creative battery after all your hard work.

Congratulations Monika, you are in for a lovely treat.

And I love the creations on the first picture, they are just fabulous.

Time to wave goodbye, enjoy yourself Karen.

I hope you have a wonderful time! You know there is a saying we have over here. "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!" So, go wild and kick your heels up!
Deb
I wonder what that expression means...kick your heels up?
