For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

I think someone wanted a class......

Hi everyone, did you miss me? I missed you, truly I did. My favourite holiday picture for you today, I have lots like this, taken from the front of the Cosmopolitan Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Today's post is not about my holiday though. I have so many pictures to edit and sort out that it will take me a couple of days so please bear with me. I had the most amazing time, on a scale of one to ten I would give it twenty! I was awake for over 30 hours yesterday before my head hit the pillow so I have still to get my brain into normal mode. Later this week I promise I will have all the news and all the pictures....you may be sorry you asked as I have so many!!!

Today's post is in response to the massive amount of mail I had waiting for me when I got home enquiring about classes. I had planned to re run my button class after Christms but due to demand/query/enquiry I have had a think about it and decided I can fit one three week button course in before Christmas. So I have listed it here if you are interested. To those of you who have mailed me I will respond, hopefully today but if not then definitely tomorrow.
For now it's dirty clothes and unpacked suitcases.....
