For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

stressed.....

I'm only popping in today...life is a shambles, upside down, back to front, madness, chaos, I feel an ulcer coming on, I feel a breakdown looming....so much c..p  (pardon my language). My inbox is crammed my ''to do'' list even more crammed but it's the inbox that is causing the angst....I must stress that I don't feel OBLIGED  to respond to all the mail I get but rather I WANT to respond to all the mail I get....kind of  it's not you it's me.....so please be assured that you are on my mind, you are on my conscience and I will respond, I will, I promise.
However, in the midst of this c word there are wonderful things happening....I have the most amazing post for my girls ready for tomorrow, I am hoping they will love it as much as I do. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about my embroidery.....you will get to see it too, just a little delayed is all.
But, you? You are important to me too and to prove it I have this little gift giving thing going on here that you may have missed...just for you, yes you.....

Karen!

I am so sorry you are stressed-take a mental health day and just stitch! It will do wonders-don't think about us (even though we know how much we are cared for and would miss you)just concentrate on you!

I am sooooo far behind I got beyond stressed awhile ago. Take a break. I think we all could use some more time to work on all of the wonderful information you already provided.

I'm with Tina. nothing is worth the stress. just let it all go. relax, stay calm and take one thing at a time. it will all be ok. sending positive energy your way.

Hope things calm down soon, but if the picture above is the result of stress, it has some advantages. Really though, hope it doesn't last long

I think you need a cup of something that "cheers but does not inebriate" as our ancestors used to say!

Still, the stress doesn't seem to be coming out in the embroidery!

Just had a long and lovely browse through everything you've been doing recently and it's awesome in the true sense of the word. The incredible creativity of how you put these exquisite pieces together really has me in awe of your talent. :o)

Just take a deep breath an exhale. Don't make yourself sick of stress because of to do-lists. Do what you can do and tomorrow is another day and another day and another day.
