For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

silk and paper.....

The final piece of the jigsaw is finished. My tiny piece of silk embroidery is now embellished onto a piece of equally as tiny paperwork...Today is a day of ticking off the final things on my list. Already today I have compiled a disc of images, set up my new printer and printed books which are now available again here. Later I have to prepare my work for the journey, a little mounting and a lot of packaging. I have to gather needles, thread ,scissors, paper and cloth. I must remember my business cards and I will also need a little pillow to facilitate paper pricking.
I think I will take a few days off next week....if I have images from Sunday I will post on Monday. If I don't have images I will not be seen for a while, I need a break it's been so hectic. When I come back I will pick a winner for these little puffs and have another gift for you.
See you soon x

I just know that your video was a huge success, despite your nerves. Can't wait for a full report, but will content myself with drooling over your latest creation.
