For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

love.......(and pins anyone??)

Yes, you're right. There's no wife like, mother like or domestic like activity going on around here. It's just me, a pile of white cloth, some pins and a little bit of playing, placing and fastening down. I have very little white stuff left to cut up so am immensley proud that I wrung this piece out of what I have left. Looking at it here though I think I will move that flower from the centre, titivate a bit more. I will leave it in, just move it because it seems a little predictable to me allthough it was purely accidental.

and I know the excitement may be too much for some of you but you still have a chance to win the pins, (see below), please, try and contain yourself.....

Tittilating us again with those lovely white pins!!!!

Beautiful white piece....better than domestic chores! I am staying with my son, so I am busy doing all his washing, housework, cooking (and obviously hijacking his computer here and there...giving him a break for the month I am here. Enjoy having your son home.

I wish I had some lovely white fabric to share with you, because I'd definitely send it along. Unfortunately all my white is pretty much plain ol' quilters cotton (b-o-r-i-n-g). I'm afraid you might just have to force yourself to go shopping (and I know how you feel about that, because I'm the same).
