For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Still here!!!

I am so sorry I have been away this long. It hasn't been intentional but I have been working on so many things, gifts, the lining for swaddling band one, a couple of orders. Then there is work, you know the proper taxpaying kind of work. Aswell as that I cannot get any images, it is really dark when I get home and I do try to get them in artificial light but sometimes they look just dreadful. Hence today is an imageless post but come tomorrow I am going to take lots of photos. If you check back saturday night or sunday there will be a feast of pics for you.
I am off to london next saturday, just for the day to meet a friend. I am really excited about seeing her and as you know I need no excuse to go to London I love it so much. I plan to visit Portobello Road......again......and will hopefully show you how amazing it is when I get back. In the meantime, please don't desert me......I promise pics before the weekend is out! x

Hey there superwoman! Love to visit, with or without pictures, and understand how frantic the job and general living is.
Take care now and have some relaxing time too!

"Next Saturday" makes it sound so soon! But yes, it really IS so soon. Next Friday I'll be in London already! I can't wait to be there :)
