For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

I have been doing more of this...

making these for the christmas fair. Now I have a dilemma, I sold some of these in the shop last week, so do I put these in there??? I did think that I could put everything I make in the shop, then come the fair just empty the shop and take it all with me, what do you think?? I do after all need to eat between now and christmas.
I would also like your thoughts on this background, not sure if it's a bit much. That's probably because up until recently my world has been white, colour can sometimes be a bit of a shock!

Only a quick post today, sorry, lots of domestic goddess tasks to perform, I will leave you with these lovely pictures of where I spent ALL DAY last friday.

you can temporarily de activate things (if its etsy you are talking about) so you can list them then just de activate when you do the fair.

Magnificent. Utterly magnificent.
As for the shop question, by all means put them in, (as long as you feel comfortable making more should they sell before your show.)

I'm here, just swampe. the ladies at the store have been busy with a fibre festival, packing, planning, going, and cioming home. I've been filling in most of their days, so it was back to full time for the last few weeks. Just leaves no time for anything. Darn work.

But it was yarny work, so it was all fun. I hope to get back to normal reading shortly.

I'm so envious... would love to take a walk down Portobello Road!

Plus, love the colour. Good idea to put things in your shop, get some pin money before Christmas!!!
