For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

As promised, a picture of my crochet cushion! Apologies for the image quality, can't seem to get the lighting right with these colours. As you may know I signed up for the daily post commitment for november. Alas I am confessing in advance that I can't continue with this as unexpected stuff has come up within the family etc. I do think though that less frequent posts may improve the quality and content. I still intend to post a minimum of 4 times a week so please do keep checking back.

I would newer sign up for daily post commitment.........as you say the family and the life take also time. I think it takes so much time to read blogs and to do blogpost my self. Even if I like it very much, have I desided to do less of it next year, and take that time to be creative in my studio instead!
