For centuries women have used cloth as a tool of comfort and as an expression of beauty within their homes. Creating cloth for warmth, cloth for shelter, our female predecessors embellished these linens with hand stitch using laborious and time consuming techniques thereby enhancing the functional beauty of objects which enveloped and protected their families. Inspired by these women I hope my creations pay tribute to and recognise the devotion expressed in cloth by our female ancestors .

Hi again. I've had a busy!! weekend. Went to see Runrig on saturday night, they were awesome, seem to get better everytime. Check them out here, http://www.runrig.co.uk/. James came home from uni to go along too with four friends, they spent the night on various floors and in various beds around my tiny house. Then on sunday it was rovers at home against Birmingham, a win for them capped off an ace saturday and sunday. I said I was going to post some images here from my etsy shop, so here are two selected close ups of what is on there. Please check it out. I was talking to my friend Jill, (told you I would mention you!!) and we were discussing all the inspirational blogs out there. I am wondering how to attract traffic to this one and am going to spend some time looking for promotional tips, if you have any please share them!
